WHO WE ARE
The Backyard Series is an arts education tool created to help teachers and students connect with local artists in the comfort of their classrooms. The purpose of the project is to develop a more authentic community and to inspire new opportunities for career and personal growth within students. We believe in the power of community and, we hope to strengthen our community by honoring our neighborhood artists, taking care of our teachers by offering free educational resources, and inspiring our students to be active, intelligent, and wildly creative citizens.

The Backyard Series provides teachers with a classroom-friendly video introduction to their neighborhood artists and free arts-based lesson plans for students to complete. All lesson plans fall under a STEAM-based curriculum so that all teachers may have the opportunity to utilize The Backyard Series.
